Tanjung Piai

We ride again on the 05/11/2010. It was a long ride south. Our destination was Tanjung Piai. South most tips of the Asia Continent.

The 535 was doing okay. Of course, we rode the normal speed limit. So, no pressure to the 535. Smooth as a butter.

On the way back, we rode in a rain. Once again, the 535 long wheel base was a great advantage. Total riding distance was about 630km.

Very enjoyable journey!

More Maintenance To Come

I am on the 535 most of the time. I have become very comfortable with the bike. But after replacing the ignition switch, the carburator was giving me a problem.

Send it to the same mechanic. Get the carburator serviced and both main jet was replaced. But the mechanic was having a hard time tuning it until both spark plug was replaced.

I rode it to Gunung Ledang after that (1st May 2010). It was a very nice ride. Only 4 bikes.

Now I spent a lot of time with the Virago, but the rear wheel connector teeth (at the hub) has started to worn off. A brand new will cost me a fortune, a second hand (the whole hub set) will cost RM750.

I am yet to replace it because low in budget. Phewwwww.... this bike is nice to ride... but it has been giving me a lot of headache.

535 is on the road again this morning!

I could not started it until Saturday, so I call the mechanic. A lorry came!

Yesterday I went to pick it up. What was wrong?

The fuel pun went offline..... ha.. ha... ha. It was caused by the ignition unit. When the key is turned to ON position, no electrical supply to the fuel pump. That was why it won't starts.

Replace the ignition...... tom... tom... tom.... she goes....

The ignition unit was not the original parts. It was Taiwanese. But it okay I supposed. It cost me RM185.00 including installation and 2 spark plug.

Yesssss......... so happy .... on the 535 again!

Engine Stop

I was on my way to send my son to school when the engine suddenly died. I tried to restart it but no luck.

I pus it home, change bike and proced to send my son and then to work.

I've been trying to start the 535 ever since but no success. I am thinking of pushing it to the workshop.... phew that is not going to be easy. Maybe I'll ask the mechanic to come and pick it up.

Can't wait to get it on the road again...........
