Batery Died Again!

The battery died again. I tried to start it this morning, It won't start. So, have to ride my scooter to work.

It's happened before. So, I have actually re-built the coil and change the rectifier unit. The cost ... phew... 1K. It last for about 2 weeks and now...... perghhh... it happened again.

I enjoyed it on the Virago but the maintenance.. it been quite a big amount for the last 2 month that I've used it.

I am not going to give up yet but it is getting into me already.

The engine oil is still leaking even though the gasket have been change. The absorber is not very proper. My wife was complaining during our last ride to Melaka.

Oh well.... what to do... she's a 12 years old machine..........................

Got it!

No problem getting the oil cap. But the price.... phewwww...... RM38.00

I got it at XL Motor at Rasah, Seremban. It's quite a big bike shop. They keep stock of sparepart, tires, accessories, etc. Price a bit on the high side, but that is about the only bike shop with ready stock part for big bike.

Oil Cap

I was a little concern with a disturbing sound from the engine. So, I decided to change the engine oil because I suspected the oil put into the crankcase before it was taken out from the workshop was a low quality engine oil.

After changing the oil, the mechanic tightened the oil cap.... but alittle too srongly. It broke. The mechanis try to fix it but not sucessfull.

So, I just ask him to close it carefully without tighthening it. I'll replace it later, when I finish my work.

I hope part will be available from that shop in Rasah, Seremban.

First few hundred miles

I have done almost 4oo miles on the bike now. The 535 is fine but the engine seems to be a little noisy now. I wonder if engine oil has anything to do with it.

Most of the time my cruising speed were aroung 55 to 65 mph. I pushed it once. It easily reach 90 mph. But I can not stand the wind. It was so hard hitting my chest and my shoulder.
